Online Marketing Co-ordinator

Located in Burlington Ontario, Opie Marketing Group Inc. is offering this unique opportunity to become involved with one of Canada’s leading e-marketing companies. Our company is a fast-growing business that owns and operates a number of successful niche-market portals and e-commerce websites.

We are looking for an innovative, open-minded, and results-driven individual to help take our brand to the next level as an Online Marketing Co-ordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Execute our marketing plan with an emphasis on increasing website traffic and conversions for the assigned market(s)
• Recommend search engine strategies and tactics
• Assist in the day-to-day management of pay-per-click campaigns such as Google, AdWords, Yahoo, and MSN
• Monitor, review, and update website traffic and web analytic reports
• Gather and analyze data and prepare reports using our web optimization software
• Optimize our web properties for search engines and for our pre-defined keywords selections. This includes HTML, site structure, and page layout and navigation considerations
• Research, build, and manage comprehensive keyword lists manually and/or in bid management tools on an ongoing basis
• Monitor and report on monthly campaigns and statistical analysis
• Co-ordinate organic search engine optimization (SEO) for our online properties (social media marketing/video marketing/article syndication)
• Perform ad-hoc analysis; proactively work to meet our reporting/analysis needs
• Assist in the coordination of special projects (video marketing, implementation of new programs, tools and marketing solutions)

Requirements:

• University degree or college diploma, preferably with marketing major
• Knowledge of online marketing concepts
• High level of proficiency with the Internet and MS Office (particularly Excel)
• Understanding of user search behaviour and the mechanics of how search engines work
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
• Self-motivated, flexible team member who takes strategic direction, but is able to create his/her own structure and implementation plans

Strong Assets:

• Working knowledge of SEO and SEM tools, website standards, usability testing, website reporting tools, and web analytics
• Previous project management or organization skills
• Knowledge of web publishing software and tools, including experience in using Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of the latest trends in the search engine industry
• Bilingual communication skills (English/French)
